The
principle of cathodic protection is in connecting an
external anode to the material to be protected from
corrosion and passing of an electrical DC current. So
that all area of the metal surface become cathodic and
therefore do not corrode. The external anode may be
a galvanic ( sacrificial ) anode or it may be an impressed
current anode where the current is impressed from external
dc source.
Sacrificial ( galvanic ) cathodic protection anodes
are cheaper than impressed current cathodic protection
anode. These anodes are otherwise known as galvanic
cathodic protection anode.
TiTaN 's sacrificial ( galvanic ) cathodic portection
anodes can be classified as :
aluminium
rod type sacrificial cp anode aluminium
ribbon type sacrificial cp anode aluminium
cylinder type sacrificial cp anode aluminium
pencil type sacrificial cp anode Al
bracelet type sacrificial cathodic protection anode
Al bar type sacrificial cathodic protection anode
