Sodium
hypo chlorite (NaOCl) is otherwise known as electro
hypo, which is widely used in various industries globally
to reduce the algae & bio grouth in the tubular
equipment where ever sea water is used for cooling purposes.
This is otherwise known as industrial electrochlorination,
which can be economically achieved by TiTaN 's industrial
electrolyzer systems.

: ON SITE ELECTROCHLORINATION : :
It
is a simple and proven technology to convert sea water,
by means of electrolysis into 1st grade sodium hypochlorite
(ELECTRO HYPO) using HYPOGEN hypochlorite generator
( electro chlorinator system). It is always applied
on-site, at the Point of Application. No chemicals are
used throughout the process.
Sea water is fed through an electrolyser cell ( electrochlorinator
). When a low voltage DC current is applied, electrolysis
occurs and sodium hypo chlorite (NaOCl) is generated
instantaneously.
ELECTRO HYPO is generated between 0.2% and 0.8% depending
on the application. Below 1%, hypo is classified as
a non-hazardous chemical although still a very effective
bio grouth destroyer. The only by-product, hydrogen,
is safely vented into the atmosphere.
